You experience an incredible time! You are one with Mother Nature as you play in the peace and quiet of the forest on stealth missions. You will utilize the trees, the trails, and an abundance of bunkers throughout the Hawaiian park. You feel intense camaraderie with the members on your team as you work together to complete your missions. It’s absolute fun!

-
We strongly encourage durable, long legged pants or clothing. Due to the nature of the sport, our players tend to slide, crawl, jump, and hide in all types of terrain and conditions. Players must wear closed-toed shoes. Definitely wear camouflage clothing if you have it! Or, colors that blend into the forest, like black, brown, or green.
Hawaii Laser Tag reserves the right to deny anyone from participating in an event if their attire is not suitable for playing conditions.
-
Absolutely not! We receive a lot of positive feedback on this subject. Players feel unencumbered and free during missions. You receive a Velcro headband with three sensors and your tagger to hold, there is also one sensor on the tagger which prevents cheating. That’s it!
-
Absolutely not. Laser tag uses harmless infrared light to emit its signal back and forth between taggers. We use the same infrared emitters used in 90 percent of all remote controls. So, laser tag is completely safe and harmless.
-
The equipment uses harmless infrared light to emit a coded signal (beam) that is picked up by three head sensors and goes through the onboard computer to register a hit on the taggers.
-
Every tagger has its own high-tech tactical scope. Our taggers have a 40 mm red dot scope with a red dot in the middle for sighting. Our long-range taggers have powerful tactical telescopic scopes that make it really easy to hit people at a distance.
-
We have several different types of games played at the park. Unlike paintball, players can be hit multiple times and still play in the game. We call them hit points. Each time your tagger is hit you lose a point. The hit points range from one to 99, so games can last as short or as long as we choose. We want people to play and have fun. No one likes to be on the sideline sitting out.
-
The hit lights on the tagger blink several times, and the tagger screams “ouch” while displaying a hit on your tagger’s LED/LCD.
-
The tagger then goes into deactivation mode (DEAC), in which the tagger’s hit light stays on signifying the player is out of the game. Also, the unit screams “Medic, medic! Man down, man down!” This tells the team medic that you need to be reactivated or out of the game.
-
Although we love indoor laser tag, our game is completely different in play and strategy. Indoor laser tag is geared more for the six-14 year age range. Indoor laser tag is usually played in a small, confined black lit facility with lots of music and pulsating light. Our Hawaii outdoor laser tag is played in much bigger areas in more of a tactical Halo, Ghost Recon setting. Our taggers have much more range and actual scopes that allow players to aim at their target. Our game is played by sneak and hide, straight out assault, or tactics. Play is more team-based and objective-driven than indoor tag, which is geared more toward individual players.
-
Yes. Each tagger has both SCI-FI noises and real modern day military sounds. Every time you shoot, reload, get hit or reactivate the tagger, it speaks to you. Incredible!
-
The typical mission is objective-based like you see in many of the action movies. For example, a scenario might play out like this: The other team has captured one of your players and you need to rescue him/her. You might need to battle to a specific point and recapture your player or eliminate the opposing team to win the scenario. Either way, every player is throwing a lot of light at the other team. It’s the ultimate rush.
-
Yes, we have over 20 different types of missions to play. They range from rescue and escort to simple elimination runs.
-
Since we use light instead of consumable ammo, we can get games started in seconds rather than minutes. This makes for a rapid and fun play style and environment. Games can last anywhere from 10 minutes on up. It depends on a variety of factors: Experience level, number of players, length of stay, and weather. Typically we run three or four missions an hour.
-
Absolutely! Since there are no projectiles, outdoor laser tag is safe to play anywhere, anytime. No mess! No welts! No cracked windows… Perfect!
-
